I checked into your allegations; there is no truth to that pack of rumors/lies.

And ya know, this is the second year that Miamisburg has started a fight during a football game with Lebanon. I suggest you get a coach that runs a disciplined program and stuff like this will be far less likely to happen. Nobody will get hurt due to unnecessary brawls and you won't have to make up any wild stories about our coach.

You can count on another lesson FROM COACH LAMB on October 30, 2009. It will be another blowout. Your team removed any complacency we may have had by starting these fights. Lebanon has always had a disciplined team. We don't pick fights and spread rumors about you. We simply beat you at the game of football, every year.

Yea we have had great players in the past nut Last year we had all kinds of hype, taylor ralston, edwards, ryan r., tj wilkins, cody fyffe, bobby hunter, kyle ferderer and the list goes on. Everyone was saying the we should of went 8-2 at the worst, since we went 5-5 everyone is blaming it on the coaches. Well i was at every practise and every game, i was in the locker room at half time, the seniors didnt want to play.
I know the OHSAA recently viewed the game tape because one player is appealing his ejection, NOT because of anything Coach Lamb did. This is the first I've heard of him doing anything improper. I've talked to several people about it. There were too many people watching for him to get away with something like that. If it is true, I hope he is prosecuted and fired.

My attitude came from my belief that Burg created the whole situation and I enjoyed seeing them lose and watching their players get ejected. I'm not apologizing for that. But, I had no idea anyone was seriously injured during the fight. I don't enjoy hearing about it. I hope a that person makes a quick and complete recovery.

I've watched my son's team stomp burg every year for the past 6 years. I'm confident they will stomp burg again next year, and I hope Mel is watching.

Well, I didn't know L had its own tv station, they are really moving up in the world. Well, I know there are "people" that are trying to make sure he never coaches or possibly teaches again because of his actions, so you might want to check and make sure you have the tape from this year. The only line of defense given was he thought it was a coach he was hitting, since the kid on burgs sideline was wearing street clothes. The kid had a concussion from it. I don't dispute some of the Burg players starting it,that was a frustrated bunch. You might want to retract that statement about the future, Burg has some players (freshman and sophomores) one of which Mel Kyper already has on his list. Good Luck!!

Having seen both teams play, I would give the edge to Elder, though I would prefer Colerain to be the winner.

Elder has an excellent qb who makes things happen with few mistakes, and has a nice rb as a compliment. Their D is very solid.

Colerain has the best two rbs I have seen all year, and their O line opens holes.
A solid qb + big recievers.

That game film has been reviewed several times. The Lebanon TV channel also taped the game. Both tapes are available. There is no cover-up.

The only coach that involved himself in the fight was wearing BLUE.

Miamisburg was looking for a fight that night! Before the game, they gathered at mid-field and stomped on the "L" turf emblem. Their #10 was running around with an obvious attitude.

By the 2nd quarter, Lebanon had the game won. Lebanon's Isaacs, Cochran and Woods secured their 1000-yard seasons. The field announcer pointed out each accomplishment as it occurred.

It must have been difficult for the Burg to take. They were finishing the season 2-8. They have GWOC's worst offense and 15th rated defense. They were experiencing their 6th straight loss. Their only wins all season were against Division II teams.

Then, Burg fumbled and Lebanon recovered. A fight broke out on the Miamisburg side of the field. Surprise!

After the dust cleared, 4 Lebanon players were ejected. A few additional Lebanon cops were summoned to the stadium and they watched the ejected players for the rest of the game.

I enjoyed watching Lebanon stomp Miamisburg! Next year, Lebanon will stomp them again. Lebanon's juniors have owned Miamisburg each time they've met. And, Lebanon has a very talented group of sophomores coming up.

I'm not necessarily on board with you in saying that OHSAA screwed this one up. What people need to realize is that after the 1st round of the playoffs being higher seed means nothing. It's about the OHSAA finding a suitable venue that will keep costs to a minimum and maxium revenue. Consider that Elder will propoaably bring anywhere to 8K to 10K fans to this game and Northmont's following will likely bring 4 to 5K, would it be fair to have the game at Welcome Stadium when only 10K would be able to see the game? I say no.

In my opinion, the OHSAA's decision to have the games in Cincy was the right call all things considered. Miami Univ would have been the only other suitable "neutral" venue that could hold the crowd for the game. One thing though, Miami never showed the OHSAA any interset in hosting the games and UC did which is why it made the OHSAA's decision easy to have a double header at Nippert because of UC's interest AND it would reduce costs because having two games back to back at one venue is less than having two games at separate venues.

I'm interested to hear if anyone could come up with another venue that would have been suitable. Keep in mind that it has to be neutral to the extent it's not the home field of either team playing & hold about 15,000 fans.

Unles you want to start a fundraiser for the OHSAA, these practices will continue as the OHSAA makes all of their operating revenue from 3 sports Championship tournaments (Football, Basketball & Wrestling) all other state tournaments lose money. If you don't beleive me go to the OHSAA's website (www.ohsaa.org) to see it for yourself.

So yes, in the end unfortunatley it comes down to the almighty $$$$. Your beef is with the OHSAA, not the Cincy teams.
